Lights and reflections
In an earlier post about some fantastic natural history museum exhibits, I mentioned GOBOs. In this example of a very simple GOBO setup, a few light fixtures project words onto a wall in a timed loop:
It can be found in the Harvard Museum of Natural History. I thought I was going to write about their newer exhibits, to follow-up on the review of their classic exhibits, maybe I said I would, but after reviewing my photos I’ve decided…meh, not that into them.
I will though mention a temporary exhibit at the Peabody Museum of Archeology and Ethnology (the Peabody is attached to HMNH, and admission to one museum gets you admission to the other). Sacred Spaces: Reflections on a Sufi Path is small, but interesting, and the graphics are lovely. It’s on view through the end of March.
