Picturing the promise

National Museum of American History, Washington, D.C.
The Scurlock Studio and Black Washington: Picturing the Promise

This exhibit was designed by Christopher Chadbourne & Associates* (Boston) for the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture. The Scurlock Studio and Black Washington is currently in the NMAAHC gallery within the National Museum of American History, and you have about two months to catch it—it ends 28 February.
Construction of the NMAAHC’s permanent home on the mall is scheduled to begin in 2012, and its opening is scheduled for 2015.
Phew. Got all that?

*I work for CCA, but—a reminder—this blog is not affiliated with them. :)
