Margaret Mee: Portraits of Plants

Christine Lefebvre Design provided publication design for Margaret Mee: Portraits of Plants, to complement the Dumbarton Oaks Museum exhibition of the same name. The catalog’s graphic design was informed by the exhibit design, by Dumbarton Oaks’s design department.

CLD designed the catalog with a fold-out front cover to accommodate a museum gallery map, and to give the perfect-bound book additional heft. A clean, elegant layout was developed for the interior pages, which featured a number of artworks, a timeline of Margaret Mee’s life, quotations, and academic information related to the exhibition.
