The Digital Disruption of News
October 2018– December 2019

Christine Lefebvre Design was tasked with redesigning a 30-foot-long case with all new content within the Newseum’s News History gallery. The Digital Disruption of News explored how the news industry has been transformed by the internet and digital innovation. Case graphics fit within the existing design of the News History gallery (originally designed by Ralph Applebaum Associates), albeit with its own “digital” feel. The layered design used inset, applied, and hanging graphics, and incorporated many stories and artifacts, for a richly textured presentation.

Behind the News: A Deadly Attack on a Community Newspaper
October 2018– December 2019

CLD designed a small exhibition about the Capital Gazette newsroom shooting in Annapolis, Maryland. Layout and graphics were kept simple and somber. Blue bands on the graphics referenced the ribbons tied around newspaper delivery boxes throughout the city, in remembrance of the victims of the terrorist attack.
