Electrify! VSA Emerging Young Artists Program
Spring 2017
The VSA Emerging Young Artists Program is a yearly competition that recognizes and showcases the work of emerging young artists with disabilities. It is organized by the Kennedy Center’s Department of VSA and Accessibility. Christine Lefebvre Design developed the branding and designed the Call For Entries for the 2017 – 2018 program.
CALL FOR ENTRIES The call for entries suite included a printed postcard and PDF flyer. The PDF could be emailed to art departments at schools around the country, for them to print on any size paper. The postcard featured a high gloss varnish over the words excites, awakens, and electrifies, to make them pop off the matte cardstock.
LOGO Inspired by neon lettering, CLD developed two versions of the logo — a square format and a horizontal format — for use in different applications. We presented varied options for the neon colors; the Kennedy Center ultimately selected a simplified version, in blue.
