The First Amendment and You(th)

September 2022 – currently on view

Christine Lefebvre Design provided design services for the Freedom Forum’s fifth “pop-up” exhibition, The First Amendment and You(th). This temporary display shares stories of kids aged six to eighteen who have put their First Amendment freedoms into action. It is one of a series that further the Freedom Forum’s mission to raise awareness of First Amendment freedoms through education.

The First Amendment and You(th)’s message is “the First Amendment is for everyone. It has no age limit. Thanks to the First Amendment, we all have the right to practice our beliefs, speak out, share information, gather together, and talk to the government.” Thematically, it’s organized into five sections: You(th) in the Classroom; You(th) Speak Out; You(th) Petition; You(th) Off Campus; and You(th) Assemble.

Design services included design concept development, floor plans and elevations, graphic design, and final graphic production files. Additional services included establishing and documenting the illustration style, conducting a talent search, and art directing and coordinating with the selected illustrator, Danielle Mann.

The exhibition opened in September 2022 and is currently on view at Washington Dulles International Airport, in Concourse B near Gate 50, and at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, in Terminal A.
